Westchester Commons is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. The WCSTA is governed by a board of directors who are elected by the resident WCSTA members for one year terms. They become officers of the corporation, despite the fact that they are volunteers.
There are no perks or financial compensation for serving on the board; it is strictly voluntary. Any WCSTA member in good standing may run for the board.
The board holds monthly meetings in a home locally here in Westchester Commons. Architectural Requests are discussed there, as well as other pertinent information for WCSTA's success and continuance. The board is assisted by a management company, Association Management Advisory Group, Inc., in the everyday operations of the corporation. WCSTA is also on retainer with local attorneys who specialize in homeowner's association laws.
The HOA is also required to hold annual meetings, inviting all resident members to attend. These annual meetings are usually held in the mid-October at various locations near the subdivison.
